The quality of the movies are getting better and better everyday. The one major problem still facing the industry is piracy. The distributors need to really work hard to fight piracy, especially for movies distributed in the USA and Europe as this will be a major source of income for them.

The industry in Nigeria is said to be producing more than 2 movies per day. Some of these movies are obviously no good, but many of them make it big for the ever growing market for them. People want to be entertained, and we are increasingly seeing a large number of Africans and non-Africans watching these movies.

The numbers are great for business minded individuals. A movie may cost only about $10-20K to produce, but they may be able to sell it for more than $100K. That’s a huge amount of profit and nobody wants to be left out of the game.
